She performed Grizabella in the 40th Anniversary Tour of Cats during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic & at one point the only performing theatrical production in the whole world. This is chronicled in the new documentary film The Show Must Go On (AppleTV+).
In 2023, she starred as the first female The Engineer in a historic brand new production of Miss Saigon at The Crucible (Sheffield Theatres) in the United Kingdom.
Joanna joined international stars of the stage & screen Michael Ball, Daniel Dae Kim, Maria Friedman, Audra McDonald, Julian Ovenden, Lucy St. Louis, Aaron Tveit, Marisha Wallace, & Patrick Wilson in My Favorite Things: The Rodgers & Hammerstein 80th Anniversary Concert, featuring a 40-piece orchestra on 12 December 2023, at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. It will be screened in cinemas across the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and North America, and will be part of the Great Performances (PBS) broadcast this Spring 2024.
